Local Construction Pros Suit Up To Race Vegas To Reno Event

Generous support from local companies enables team to enter annual event

Las Vegas, NV – Three local construction professionals have joined forces to compete in this year’s Vegas to Reno desert race. The team will be competing on a 2006 Yamaha YZ 450 motorcycle in the 500 mile off-road event that takes place on Saturday the 23rd, starting just outside of Beatty, Nevada. Over 310 teams have entered the event taking place on a predetermined course finishing in Dayton, just south of Reno, Nevada. With the generous financial assistance provided by Robco Electric, Danoski Clutts Building Group, Arrow Air Conditioning, MorCon Concrete, L&R Integrity Drywall & Paint, Ride Happy Racing, Dust Magazine, Parsons Walls, Sampson Communications, Hill Graphics, Rio Plumbing and Sandbar Watersports, pilots Shawn Danoski, Dave Martin and Team Captain Klint Kimball will brave the unrelenting Nevada desert with finishing as their primary goal.

“This is something I have always wanted to do” remarks Klint Kimball, “After years of talking about it, I finally decided to do it. I then started to put together a team of riders, support staff and vehicles.”

“Then came the financial challenge,” quips Kimball. “I even told my wife what the budget was, and she almost killed me. There is no way we could have done this without the support of our sponsors. They have been fantastic.”

For the last six months Kimball called on friends, colleagues and fellow racers for strategic input and financial support. His hard work paid off. With a list of twelve sponsors, Kimball was able to raise the necessary funding to turn his dream into a reality.

The team purchased radios, GPS equipment, gear upgrades, and the spare parts necessary for back up. Sponsors also provided additional equipment, parts and substantial discounts for the team’s use.

“I was grateful for those who stepped up to support our efforts. We have been able to outfit ourselves with the necessary equipment to be competitive,” Kimball remarks. “We are also very grateful for the support of our understanding wives that allow us to go out and still act like kids.”

This support helped the riders come up with their team name. “KiDS Inc” was chosen as a way to incorporate the names of all three riders. The “K” stands for Klint Kimball, Senior Estimator at Danoski Clutts Building Group. The “D” is for Dave Martin, owner of Ride Happy Racing and proud parent of a brand new baby girl. The “S” is for Shawn Danoski, CEO of Danoski Clutts Building Group, who is also training his two young sons to be the next all stars in motocross. All three participants have been training extensively for this race and share in the common goal of finishing.
